Welcome to the Peter Redgrove Papers, a collection of the working papers and notebooks of the prolific contemporary poet held by the Main Library at the University of Sheffield Peter Redgrove, winner of the Queen's Medal for Poetry in 1996, amongst many other awards and honours, is a major twentieth century writer whose wide-ranging vision has inspired the production of over twenty volumes of poetry, numerous radio plays, novels, and non-fiction books. He is the joint author with Penelope Shuttle of The Wise Wound and Alchemy For Women. The articles in this collection comprise correspondence, journals, working papers, newspaper articles, lecture notes and cassettes, which serve to complete and complement the main core of Redgrove's research papers. The materials cover Redgrove's output over some two decades, reflecting a creative imagination encompassing the sciences, the unconscious and the erotic in its wide-ranging view of the world. |
